History:
Waukesha, located in southeastern Wisconsin is roughly 15 miles west of Milwaukee. In 1839 it was known as Prairieville and later was named Waukesha in 1846. Just like many areas of Wisconsin, Waukesha was first inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Potawatomi and Menominee. The city located on the Fox River has a thriving historic downtown boasting concerts, a farmer’s market, scenic Riverwalk and festivals.

As the seventh largest city in the state with roughly 72,000 people, Waukesha is a hub for many manufacturing jobs and home to the area’s largest employers.
